Cook was raised in Whitby Ontario, Canada, through her parents Sandra and Mike, both school teachers. She grew up along with the rest of her siblings Angela, Nathan and Paul. She was raised as the daughter of a Mormon as well as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The ballet, tap, and jazz classes while a small child. After competing in numerous dance contests, she started acting when she was 17 years old. Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze inspired her to be an actor. Cook tied the knot with her husband Nathan Andersen in August 2001. She first met Nathan Andersen at Utah Valley University and took an acting class. The couple has a son. Mekhai Allan Andersen was born 13 September 2008. She is a resident of Los Angeles
