Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She works primarily with Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil in the film with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. Her younger sister is a research assistant from Belgium and is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was brought up as a child in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After graduation, he studied at Women's Christian College. Andrea started classes in classical piano when she was eight, has been described as being a "geek" and wanted to be a psychiatric until the 12th grade exam. She joined The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. She also worked as an actor in the college. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She appeared in a new leo advertisement with actor Shiva. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a show that was shown on Podhigai. She has appeared in all parts of India. She was in a small character in the finale in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham is a character in the film. Menon invited her after she had performed in the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film to be featured as the lead female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband engages in an affair and is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was picked to play the role after Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by the producers. The film was released in the early part of the year 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick that was released in 2013.
