Mena Alexandra (born on February 13, 1979) is a model and actress hailing from the United States. After beginning her career as a model, she moved into acting, after starring as a guest on 90's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. In 1997 she debuted acting in a movie with Nowhere. In American Beauty and American Pie the actress gained more recognition in her roles. In the following years, she appeared in Loser (2000) together with American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and then played the principal part in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). She had appearances in the independent 2002 drama Spun and the 2004 horror feature Trauma. In 2004, she was a guest on HBO's show Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, she featured in several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is the model for Lancome cosmetics and print ads to promote Lancome Paris Adaptive in addition to is featured in a variety of fashion magazines and blogs including Vogue. Suvari has been a defender and advocates on behalf of African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious organization that provides relief to Africa. Additionally, she has been active with issues related to female empowerment, and participates in charitable organizations that are devoted to breast cancer, as well as an End Violence Against Women campaign.
